Der zweite Brief des Petrus

Kapitel 1

1 Simon4826 Petrus4074, ein Knecht1401 und2532 Apostel652 JEsu2424 Christi5547: Denen, die mit uns2254 eben denselbigen teuren2472 Glauben4102 überkommen haben2975 in1722 der Gerechtigkeit1343, die unser2257 GOtt2316 gibt und2532 der Heiland4990 JEsus2424 Christus5547.

2 GOtt2316 gebe4129 euch5213 viel Gnade5485 und2532 Frieden1515 durch1722 die Erkenntnis1922 Gottes und2532 JEsu2424 Christi, unsers2257 HErrn2962!

3 Nachdem5613 allerlei3956 seiner göttlichen2304 Kraft1411 (was zum4314 Leben2222 und2532 göttlichen Wandel2150 dienet) uns2254 geschenket ist1433 durch1223 die Erkenntnis1922 des, der uns2248 berufen hat2564 durch1223 seine846 Herrlichkeit1391 und2532 Tugend703,

4 durch1722 welche uns2254 die3739 teuren5093 und2532 allergrößten3176 Verheißungen1862 geschenket sind1433, nämlich daß2443 ihr durch1722 dasselbige teilhaftig2844 werdet1096 der göttlichen2304 Natur5449, so ihr fliehet668 die5130 vergängliche5356 Lust1939 der Welt2889:

5 so wendet3923 allen3956 euren5216 Fleiß4710 daran und1161 reichet2023 dar in1722 eurem Glauben4102 Tugend703 und1161 in1722 der846 Tugend703 Bescheidenheit

6 und1161 in1722 der Bescheidenheit Mäßigkeit1466 und1161 in1722 der Mäßigkeit1466 Geduld5281 und1161 in1722 der Geduld5281 GOttseligkeit2150

7 und1161 in1722 der GOttseligkeit2150 brüderliche Liebe5360 und1161 in1722 der brüderlichen Liebe5360 gemeine Liebe26.

8 Denn1063 wo solches5023 reichlich4121 bei euch5213 ist5225, wird‘s2525 euch nicht2532 faul692 noch3756 unfruchtbar175 sein lassen in1519 der Erkenntis unsers2257 HErrn2962 JEsu2424 Christi5547.

9 Welcher3739 aber solches5023 nicht hat2076, der ist3918 blind5185 und1063 tappet mit der Hand3467 und vergißt2983 der Reinigung2512 seiner vorigen3819 Sünden266.

10 Darum1352, liebe Brüder80, tut4704 desto mehr3123 Fleiß, eure5216 Berufung2821 und2532 Erwählung1589 festzumachen949. Denn1063 wo ihr4160 solches5023 tut4160, werdet ihr nicht3364 straucheln4417.

11 Und1063 also3779 wird euch5213 reichlich4146 dargereicht werden2023 der Eingang1529 zu1519 dem ewigen166 Reich932 unsers2257 HErrn2962 und2532 Heilandes4990 JEsu2424 Christi5547.

12 Darum1352 will ich‘s nicht3756 lassen272, euch5209 allezeit104 solches5130 zu erinnern5279, wiewohl ihr‘s wisset1492 und2539 gestärkt seid4741 in1722 der4012 gegenwärtigen3918 Wahrheit225.

13 Denn ich achte2233 es billig1342 sein, solange ich in1722 dieser5129 Hütte4638 bin1510, euch5209 zu1722 erwecken5280 und1161 zu erinnern1326.

14 Denn ich3427 weiß1492, daß3754 ich meine Hütte4638 bald5031 ablegen muß2076, wie2531 mir3450 denn auch2532 unser2257 HErr2962 JEsus2424 Christus5547 eröffnet hat1213.

15 Ich will4704 aber2532 Fleiß tun4160, daß ihr5209 allenthalben habet2192 nach3326 meinem1699 Abschied1841, solches5130 im Gedächtnis3420 zu halten.

16 Denn1063 wir haben1096 nicht3756 den klugen4679 Fabeln3454 gefolget, da wir euch5213 kundgetan1107 haben die1565 Kraft1411 und2532 Zukunft3952 unsers2257 HErrn2962 JEsu2424 Christi, sondern235 wir haben seine Herrlichkeit3168 selber gesehen2030,

17 da2532 er846 empfing2983 von3844 GOtt2316 dem Vater3962 Ehre5092 und1063 Preis1391 durch5107 eine Stimme5456, die3739 zu1519 ihm geschah von der5259 großen3169 Herrlichkeit1391 dermaßen: Dies3778 ist2076 mein3450 lieber27 Sohn, an dem ich1473 Wohlgefallen2106 habe5342.

18 Und2532 diese5026 Stimme5456 haben191 wir2249 gehöret vom1537 Himmel3772 gebracht5342, da wir mit4862 ihm846 waren5607 auf1722 dem heiligen40 Berge3735.

19 Wir haben2192 ein festes prophetisches Wort3056, und2532 ihr tut4160 wohl2573, daß5613 ihr darauf achtet als auf4337 ein Licht3088, das3739 da scheinet5316 in1722 einem dunkeln Ort5117, bis2193 der Tag2250 anbreche1306, und2532 der Morgenstern5459 aufgehe393 in euren5216 Herzen2588.

20 Und4412 das5124 sollt ihr für das3956 erste wissen1097, daß3754 keine Weissagung4394 in der Schrift1124 geschieht1096 aus eigener2398 Auslegung1955;

21 denn1063 es ist4218 noch nie3756 keine Weissagung4394 aus menschlichem Willen2307 hervorgebracht5342; sondern235 die heiligen40 Menschen444 Gottes2316 haben2980 geredet, getrieben von5259 dem444 Heiligen40 Geist4151.

2 Peter

Chapter 1

1 SIMON Peter, a servant and apostle of Jesus Christ, to those who through the righteousness of our LORD and Saviour Jesus Christ have been made equal with us in the precious faith;

2 Grace and peace be multiplied to you through the knowledge of our LORD Jesus Christ,

3 Who has given us all things that pertain to the power of God, for life and worship of God, through the knowledge of him who has called us by his glory and excellence;

4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these you might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

5 And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith, virtue; and to virtue, knowledge;

6 And to knowledge, self-control; and to selfcontrol, patience; and to patience; godliness;

7 And to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness, love.

8 For when these things are found among you and abound, you are not empty nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our LORD Jesus Christ.

9 But he who lacks these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and has forgotten that he was cleansed from his former sins.

10 For this very reason, my brethren, be diligent; for through your good deeds, you make your calling and your election sure: and when you do these things, you shall never fall:

11 For by so doing, an entrance shall be given freely to you into the everlasting kingdom of our LORD and Saviour Jesus Christ.

12 Wherefore I will not be negligent to put you always in remembrance of these things, though you know them well; and you rely on this very truth.

13 Therefore I think it is right, as long as I am in this body, to stir you up by putting you in remembrance;

14 Knowing that shortly I must depart this life, even as our LORD Jesus Christ has shown me.

15 Be diligent always, that you may be able to keep these things in remembrance; even after my departure.

16 For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known to you the power and coming of our LORD Jesus Christ, for we were eye-witnesses of his majesty.

17 For he received from God the Father honor and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent and majestic glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

18 And this very voice which came from heaven we also heard when we were with him on the holy mount.

19 We have also a true word of prophecy; you do well when you look to it for guidance, as you look to the lamp that shines in a dark place until the dawn of day, when the sun will shine in your hearts:

20 Knowing this first, that not every prophetic writing is made clear in its own book.

21 For the prophecy did not come by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke when they were inspired by the Holy Spirit.
